A composite system's top layer adhesion and separation force are assessed using the climbing drum peel (honeycomb core with a cover layer). This combination's extraordinary rigidity is a result of the two parts' excellent bonding. A specialized peeling instrument is used to measure the adhesive force. The connection is almost orthogonally peeled rather than sheared apart by shearing force because of the unique design of this test equipment.
